I believe those would be freshwater pearls but hard to tell.
The photos are good...both look like Indian Royalty.
Men's wedding attire can be quite stunning...the Indian male dress code is great (as well as the traditional Scottish) and I even got to try one during my trip to India some years ago...loved it!

Not sure how it works with celebrity weddings but I know that for normal weddings, where both still need to be bedecked by gold, the gold is often plated versions. Few can afford to buy a full wedding set in 22K gold. So I would guess the pearls are freshwater - if they are real.

My guess is that they are freshwater pearls. They look too good to be fakes.

These are mega rich Bollywood stars. So, no telling if they're decked out in costume jewelry or real real real, which could also be borrowed from good jewelers.

Totally. Even from a marketing viewpoint: the jewelers could be advertising their pieces with these photos in India.
