Hello,

I just received this pair of earrings that looks like it is from mikimoto. Everything stamped correctly. But the box it came is weird, and also it looks unused. Do anyone knows when it was made? Is it really mikimoto?
The tag looks weird also, mikimoto uses this kind of tags? Also this A+ its a good quality?

Thank you.

The earrings have all the signs of being real Mikimoto, and the tag does have PES-602K, which is their product code for 6-6.5 mm, A+ grade set on 18k.
The grade is their 3rd tier - AAA, AA, A+ and A.

The box is not a Mikimoto box, so it's probably not the original.

Thank you for your reply. Great news. They are small but very nice, and what a good price. I compared to 10mm pearls and the 6.5 mm look tiny next to each other. I only imagine what AAA pearls must look like. The akoyas from h.stern that I have are much whiter and less pink and do not look like these.

This shows a 6.5 akoya vs 12 mm South Sea. @Pearl Dreams shared the math with us once. The true size is determined by the volume, not the millimeter. The 10 mm pearls were nearly 5X the true size of the smaller pair.

Mikimoto AAA are stunning. The ones I've seen have a strong pink diffraction of orient that moves with the pearl.
