Hi all, my first time posting here. Would like to seek for your advice before taking to the lab

I recently purchased this strand of pearls in an overseas auction. Since it’s an online auction, I didn’t get the chance to see the pearls. But by the estimate, I supposed it should be Tahitian and golden South sea Pearl, but when i received it, I doubt they are dyed. But I can’t really see the drill hole.

What do you think? Pls let me know it would be very helpful. Thanks so much

Maybe a lab knows...but I would trust a pearl expert over a lab or jeweler. (I had faux pearls mis-Identified as real by a jeweler, while all I had to do was pick the pearls up...way too light & paint coming off!!!!) Hoping someone can help you here. Personally I have sent pearls for authentication & the person clearly did NOT know much about pearls. All they looked at was the clasp material, size & length, faux or real & could not tell Akoya or not. Before I sent them (after getting opinions here) I would ask lots of questions from the lab. Also taking the course Pearls As One (There is a coupon for that) would be really helpful if you are going to start buying pearls.
