Ideas for stringing just three pearls? Help please

Hello Esteemed Fellow Beaders & Threaders

It’s been a while since posting, but I have an issue with a customers job, which I hope you can shed some light on.
We have a south sea strand, with 18ct gold “feature” beads, the issue is he wants the beads after every three pearls.
I have strung in this order:
Through middle pearl, through end pearl, gimp & bead, back through end pearl, knot, through middle and other end pearl, gimp & bead, back through other end pearl, knot, through middle pearl and cut the tail. I know that may sound like a heap of gibberish but it kind of makes sense!
Is there another way anyone would have done this? I hope attached pics help!

That sounds like the way I would do it, yes, including hiding the tail in a pearl before cutting it off.
