I am not much of a pearl person, more of an amateur fossil collector. Anyway I found this when I was out looking for fossils in East Texas about a year ago, I thought it was cool but didn't give it much thought as to what it so I'm trying to identify it. Thank you

An old glass marble, perhaps? That is large, but I have seen larger marbles.
That's what I initially was thinking, I also collect native american artifacts and it appears to have been flaked except inside the pits it has what looks like would be the outer part of the rock and should be translucent like the inner part. Thank you for your reply

I forgot to mention I found this where I find a lot of fossilized coral. Thanks for opinions so I can rule out pearl or investigate further with it. Thank you
