Help me please

So a friend of mine was cleaning out his grandmothers house and gave me some pearls. I know absolutely nothing and not even sure if they are real. please let me know. I'd like to wear them if they aren't fake.

They look like cultured fresh water potato pearls and wearable

I agree. They are freshwater pearls. There is no bead in the center which is why they have an off round shape. They are not particularly valuable, but they are 100% nacre, and real pearls. Enjoy wearing them!
