Help identify if Chinese Pearls?

I'm looking at buying some vintage pearls as a gift for my mom but have no idea from images on ebay if certain pearls are a good deal or not. Could it be possible to know from these images and description if they are Chinese freshwater or some other type of pearl and worth the price of approx. 150 USD? (Just want some nice pearls to wear that would hopefully last)

the seller describes as :
-Sterling silver clasp
-Midcentury, 6.5-7 MM. SOFT CREAMY WHITE TONE WITH GENTLE LUSTER.

I already am trying to learn to identify good clasps and search for dings to see if they are real pearls or not.

Any tips would be helpful!

Slightly offround, but really good for what it is. I don't believe midcentury FWP would be that round.
