found this one in an oyster poboy

I was eating at a local seafood restaurant and bit into something hard. I thought it was a piece of shell, but I think it's a pearl. I would love to use it for a piece of jewelry for my girlfriend, since we were on one of our first dates. What do you think?

Well, it was in a poboy, so I assume it was a fried oyster?

It's definitely a pearl. Congratulations for doing something most people can only dream about.

Cooking damages lusterous pearls severely, but less so in oyster (crassostrea) or venus clam pearls.

Calcareous pearls have low worth, but I would value it as a keepsake for the rarity and special moment.

Go ahead, drill it or mount it to something fun and unique.
