I am planning on purchasing a few pearls that are unskilled. If I later decide to change my design to require drilling the pearls, how do i do that?

I assume you meant to write, "undrilled". Autocorrect can be annoying. :D

I have not drilled any pearls so will leave that for others to reply.

Welcome to the forum, YTgumby.

Probably if you only need a few pearls drilled, it would be best to find a jeweler or someone familiar with the process and have them drill the pearls for you.

There are special drills made just for pearl drilling, and like anything else, it takes practice to be proficient and not ruin the pearls. These drills can cost from about $200 to over $1000. I have one of the inexpensive drills, and need lots more practice with very inexpensive pearls!! Others may have suggestions for you, but I only know first hand about a these electric pearl drills.
