Hi everybody,
We all know tahitian pearls can exhibit a large range of colors. Here are some of them with some of my favorite ones.
I took this photo yesterday in downtown Papeete (Tahiti) at 11:00 am, outdoor (cloudy weather).
Hope you will like it ;)
Hi everybody,
Maybe it has alreary been shown here, but here is the most compete and interesting book about tahitian pearls ever !
Published by the University of French Polynesia in 2010. Only written in french and possibly available outside of french polynesia but I'm not sure.
Hi,
Without any doubt, shop in Papeete. You will have much more choice and get lower prices there than in Rangiroa (avoid Bora Bora too !).
Have a nice trip in French Polynesia ! :)
Hi,
Thanks for the comments.
Nora, Robert Wan has several farms in The Tuamotu (especially South Marutea, he is the owner of the atoll) and Gambier islands (Mangareva) but these pearls are not from one of his farm...
Some of them will stay in my colection and for the other ones, maybe you should...

Very happy to join this very interesting community of pearls lovers. English is not my native langage but will try my best contribute as often as possible.:)
Tahitians are known for offering a great range of beautiful colors, here is a selection of pearls I recently brought back...
