I agree Lagoon Island Pearls
They probably could have also designed a course that would "supplement" the Pearls as One course...focusing more on treatments, processing and identification.

I finished the course in just over an hour. Fouled up the question that used Swiss Francs
It has great photos and interesting videos.
The course is nicely done but basic. Pearls as One is definitively much more complete...but I believe ALL pearl education is a must! Good job by...

Never heard of them before...I would usually associate those names with sellers or producers of faux perles or imitations.

Hello Emmamae! A nice pair there...but really hard to tell without handling the pearls directly.
Just with the photos, these seem to be a pair of FWPs...there's something in their appearance (specially the shape) that tells me they are FWPs.

Very nice brooch echolovesyou
The pearls are either natural or seed pearls...no doubt about it.
Please let us know if you find more information...what a great find!

I agree wholeheartedly: Dave's explanation and diagram are superb! And Jeremy's description of how the shell and the pearl are the inverse of each other...simply magic!...
