Pattye,
Wow !
They are all beautiful.....

Stunningly beautiful!!!
Where is the golden strand from? I do recognize the baroque FW strand. Did you string the others? Love the high carat gold look. Reminds me of the druzy design stuff.

very nice strands. I take it that You have strung them yourself as I on ly do recognize one of the clasps from PP.

Is this correct?
Akoyas, untreated
Golden SS from PP?
Baroque Tahitians
Untreated Akoyas
Untreated Freshwater Pearls

and probably every one of the strands from PP?

They are lovely!

Hi Casey,

You're right, DruzyDesign except for the CFWP from PP--over a period of years, of course. Sorry my photography doesn't do them justice. My Sis visited and helped me figure out the camera thing, finally!

1. South Sea baroques, 11.2-16.0mm (platinum blue)
2. South Sea golden, 12.0-14.9mm
3. Tahitians, 11.0-13.7mm
4. South Sea white, 10.0-14.7mm (longer, about 24")
5. CFWP, untreated, 7.8-11.7mm

Thanks to you all for your nice comments. I found this forum because I was doing research on these pearls from Carolyn Ehret, and have been ever so grateful!

I recognized the top strands as Care Ehret's work from the first picture. In fact, I think I recognize the top strand from the 2004 or so sesson?

If those aren't AAAAA+++++ wild, evervescent, breathtakeingly gorgeous, iridescent, brilliant pearls, (Did I do that right?) then Care Ehret should be scolded! Fortunately they are everything she claims- and therefore is one eBay dealer I think can freely say AAAAA+++ about her pearls. If anyone wants to argue with that, then I would say she doesn't sell round pearls, so she's exempt from the expectation of grading her pearls according to round pearl standards.:p

Care was years ahead of the curve in selling baroque pearls when you couldn't get them from Jeremy OR any other round pearl dealer.

I am also the one who first mentioned her here. I wanted to do an interview and put it up here, but we couldn't decide on a time and place....then I let it slide.

LOL!!! Yes, Caitlin, that does sound about right :p

I actually found Pearl-Guide.com while doing a Google search on druzydesign while checking to see if I'd be reasonably safe bidding on one of her auctions. I would certainly have a lot more money in my savings account if it weren't for Care...

Is there any chance that we might ever see that interview? I think a lot of folks here would find it very interesting.

Hi Boo,

Ditto for my savings---

Caitlin, she knows I am coming to Tucson this year, maybe we can get something set up?

Her booth is in the River Park Inn Pavillion, an easy walk from the GJX and AGTA shows. That hotel has also had a number of food booths in its patio area in addition to a bar/grill and a fairly nice restaurant.
I am going to move this to the new "Tucson Feb, 2008" thread :)

Pattye,

You have exquisite taste and a beautiful collection! Thank you for sharing:) .

Did you ever string up some of your "funky" pearls? If you did, maybe they should go in a Lowly Beader's thread instead of this one!.........Now I am embarrassed by the ones I sent you, too.....but I hope you found them good homes......

OK........ Now who was it who wanted to trash Care Ehret for calling her pearls AAAAA++++++?

Hi Caitlin and All,

Thank you all for the nice comments about my pearly wonders in spite of the mediocre photography!

Caitlin, I love those whoppin big pearls you sent me! So far I am still hording them, along with the "funky pearls" awaiting improved knotting technique.

I have actually made some pieces, and will post them soon and apply for membership in the Lowly Beaders Club. My Sis visited recently and helped me (partially) understand the process for getting the photos from that tiny memory card to the computer and then (hopefully) elsewhere. Sometimes I can actually make it happen!

Care Ehret is a member here, and although I wish she had time to participate, she does occasionally come on and read.

I appreciate all of your awesome photos, and controversial, thought provoking, humorous, courageous, educational and always stimulating commentary. With a little luck y'all will play a part in keeping me from becoming senile!!!!:D
