so many pearls, so little time

I agree, what a great lot. Also josh I see your location as "Teahupo'o" - how close are you to the wave by the same name?

Oh, what gorgeous pearls and that last picture! Wow! Can I move there? Do you have a job for me Josh? :D

Have you seen the line that Robert Wan did with the surfers? You guys should do something similar with your beautiful pearls!! All you're missing in your surfing pic's are the pearls!

Youngster, Thanks for the thumbs up. Can you swab the decks?

That's a scary place to be. It's an Aussie named Anthony Walsh at this year's Billabong Pro trials. That was in the finals. I think he scored a ten on that wave but it still wasn't enough. My good friend Manoa Drollet whupped his monkey @$$. Oops, sorry. Family forum here.

Dr. Drea, yes I have seen it. Guess who he got the idea from? Go to www.tahitimana.com for the answer.

Sorry Josh, not much of a deck swabber. ;) Guess I'll have to content myself with admiring the scenery from afar, or plan to visit one day.

Josh, I put in my order at Tahitimana a few days ago - I am looking forward to seeing the pearls when they show up! I wish I lived close enough to the water to need the carbon fiber strands, but I think that with my pathetically limited exposure the hemp will do just fine...

(BTW, with all the pirate talk, I just wanted to say that while I respect your current sig of Tahitian pearl farmer, I miss seeing your "yarr..." :p )

I gotta agree with Josh on this one... 18mm is WAY too big  lol

well I agree 18mm is probably too big for even me, but around 11-13mm
I like for men's jewelry. I guess the answer is to simply give the customer the option.

And also I'm Canadian Josh - you know the polite understated people from the north;)

Hey there, come on,

Don't guys want to have a whole wardrobe of pearls too? Different colors, various cords, selection of sizes, and such a reasonable cost with just 1 fab pearl -- or is it just one signature piece? Does a different philosophy separate the sexes here?? ;)

Actually, my youngest brother is the only one in the family with "style" - he is a clotheshorse and very particular about what he wears. I can totally see him getting several different strands for different looks. In fact, I anticipate him eyeing my hemp necklace rather greedily once it arrives, just because of the lighter cord.

I love Canada. I was there last year and really enjoyed it, especially speaking french with the Quebec-quoi. Never been to a country other than Canada where EVERYONE is nice.

Heheheh, Quebec-quoi !! That's finny. Translated from French it means Quebec-who! Sorry, I'm gonna have to steal this one and use it as my own.

Of course I don't run much risk of that as clothes here consist of board shorts and not much else.:)

You have to at least have a smidgen of hippness to pull off the pearl on a leather cord thing. A guy with a board in only shorts pretty much has hippness to spare---as long as he can actually use the board. When I was a kid, I use to watch the surfers at Huntington Beach, CA for hours. Surfer watching somewhere in Tahiti would have been hipper but my bank account only went so far in those days.

slraep, Quebec-what not who. Haha, I often wonder if anyone is laughing but me.:)

Right, sorry, I meant "what". Don't know why I wrote "who". Les Quebec-quoi, quoi? Yeah, don't worry, you can count on me for laughing at a lot of member's posts. I mean that in a good way, of course, seeing as I too am a polite understated person from the North, eh.
