First of all apologies if this is the wrong place for this question. I was at a loss for a while because I can't find the live chat feature on the website and I'm really trying to get through to John (have emailed him) re a quote he's sorting out for me.

Then I remembered this forum!! So has the live chat feature been stopped now? Or is it somehow just me?

Thanks for checking katbran but this is something I've been experiencing for a couple of months now... and the bottom right corner "chat" tab just doesn't appear! I'm using my mobile phone (as always) buy even when I've switched to the full site, I can't get the tab to come up.
 
Hi Moonpie! I think the "Live Chat" function is only active during the weekdays. Since it is the weekend now, the function turned into "Leave a Message". I am sure if you leave a message someone will get back to you beginning of next week, and you can retry for Live Chat then!

Also I know they switched tech platform not long ago so it is possible that the chat function wasn't working properly for a while. Looks like they should have it sorted out by now!

Seems the problem is only on my side.... intriguing.
 
If it helps, I have used that feature several times in the last few months, most recently about 2 weeks ago. It works fine for me, so I'm not sure what could be going on with you not being able to use it. Emailing John should work though..he is good about getting back to you as quickly as he can during the week!

Thanks lary this is just so weird! I'm based in the UK if that makes any difference to anything...

I know John is usually great at responding I've worked with him in the past and it's all been fine. I'm just after a quote this time because it's a big/unusual job so he's had to dedicate a lot of time to my cads I know (plus been busy with everything else he must get bombarded with)!

Communication is slower for me right now but I'm ok with that as this is a job I'm having to save for anyway. I think we're at the final stage where he's shown me the final cad so I'm just waiting on a quote... but last email took around 4 weeks for a response so I'm just being a bit impatient haha.

Tbh I'd be happy to wait if I wasn't considering starting another (non pearl) project that is a lot cheaper... but it just means waiting longer to start this project with PP. I feel once I have the actual quote I will be in a better position to decide... I just feel desperate to start *any* project
 
Oh that's so weird - I've had a few live chats in the past 2 weeks that worked just fine. I wrongly assumed it was a weekend issue since the thread was posted this weekend. *scratching head*

Gotta admit, I'm starting to think it's just me...

Have I been blocked from using that function because I do use it a lot?! :eek: :(

We launched a new website on July 25th. Most people may not have noticed because it looks very much like it did before, but we moved to an entirely new platform. This means, of course, that there are some bugs that we still need to work out. I sent this thread to our team to take a look at. The chat feature is definitely working, but there may be some issue related to specific browsers we don't know about yet.
