Help to identify please

I won these pearls on a charity auction, and for the life of me cannot figure out what kind of pearls they are. Maybe there are two kinds here? Yes gritty on tooth. Please help.

I'm sorry but they look like low quality, dyed baroque Chinese freshwater pearls.

As Pearl Dreams mentioned, all these pearls are dyed cultured freshwater pearls. In the top photo there are some freshwater mabes, in which the button shape nucleus shows clearly from the bottom (flat side) of the pearl. A fun collection for crafters! Thanks for showing us.
