I found this rice krispy pearl necklace and I want to make it one long strand so I can't reuse the multi strand clasp. The pearls are pink and gold with some other random colors. So I can't go with white gold. Do you think a rose gold clasp would look good with these pearls or should I just stick with yellow gold? I would really like a clasp like the one it came with with the pink quartz but I haven't been able to find one yet. What do you think? Thanks ~d

I lost sun light so the colors are all washed out but you can kinda see a gold pearl near the clasp. ~d

I'm looking for similar to the rose quartz clasp, too. I have a Lake Biwa rope with a rose jade clasp from Gump's. It is rose gold metal, with a double safety.
Gump's in San Francisco back in the 70's had an extraordinary jewelery department with a strong emphasis on rare pearls and jade. The store was family owned then and focused on the best of the Orient trade. They liked to educate their customers about the silks, china, sculpture, calligraphy, paintings, and furniture, among other delights. I had been studying art history and the decorative arts in Washington, D.C. and none of the museum collections that we saw had the depth of Gump's treasure house.

I used to have a supplier who produced beautiful silver and vermeil clasps with gemstones. The stock was going down so I looked for him on the web and GONE. not a trace. If anyone knows what happened to Venuss gems in India please let me know

I like the rose gold and think it would be very pretty with your pearls.

Personally, I am a big fan of rose gold, and of course it is a matter of preference - and what you can find available in rose. So far I have not been wowed by what's on offer and have only seen fairly basic designs. Which is fine when the color and beauty of the materials speak for themselves.

Thank you so much everybody. I am leaning towards rose gold too, but as it has already been said, there isn't much out there to choose from. Thanks again ~d
