Not thesame as mine

hello...

thanks for the info. but i think mine and the pearl you were saying on ebay is totally two different pearls. i think mine is not a blister pearl, although IM NO EXPERT REALLY!!!!

i copied a photo of the tridacna gigas you were saying;

While mine looks like this;

I think they are totally two different thing, but i guess things are defined/seen/viewed depending on how the viewer chooses to see it. :)

About the price, it is synonymous to a woman LOVING her expensive bags and jewels and a MAN loving her toys and Cars. I mean regardless how EXPENSIVE or CHEAP something is, if a buyer/collector likes it, they like it, if NOT then Not!

Anyway again THANK YOU for the comment and info.! :)

Caitlan, your research on the Pearl of Allah is fascinating.
Hi Miriam!
Thanks.
The reason I was able to go on and on is because it is still fresh in my mind from a blog post I just did about it. I wanted a version where I just tell the story, without structuring it like a Newspaper article -top down.

As far as I know there is no such version out there, yet. So anyone who wants can read it here http://www.techichi.org/wolfclan-homestead/2012/09/13/the-pearl-of-allah-the-complete-scam-exposed/

Bonhams auction house has a natural history auction on a regular basis and they often have giant clam shells. Perhaps you can start by contacting Bonhams for a pre-sale estimate with the attached pearl? www.bonhams.com Technically, because it's one with the shell, it is described as an attached natural blister pearl.

Outside of an auction, I think it would be hard to get more than ten to fifteen thousand dollars for it. You have to find the person that passionately wants it and is looking. It only takes two people to start a bidding war. :)
