its hard to tell from the pictures what exactly they are, can you take some close up pictures with the macro setting of your camera? Have you tried the tooth test(https://www.pearl-guide.com/forum/showthread.php?t=781&page=1) on the pearls to see if they're real?

Welcome. So very sorry about the misfortune that brings you here.
We need more close up photos, on the white background, please, to better evaluate what you have and if they are cultured pearls or beads. It looks like some necklaces were taken apart.
Please give approx size of the pearls in mm. You can use the back side of a tape measure for this.
Also, more close ups of pearls and clasps in the 2nd photo. Clasps may have writing on the back; please photograph that also. Does the red box have any writing inside the lid?
Did these items get wet also? If so, did you rinse them off in warm water?

Yes they did get wet and the strings rotted I think. I haven't cleaned them at all. The red box is a Majorca with the quarantees showing purchase in 1972. These are 'fake' I know but there are three sets in box and which is which I do not know !!

Well get some good photos and we'll try to help you sort it all out. Please get plenty of closeups- you have a large stash there and those loose ones ---maybe could be sorted so the same types or colors are together? This could be fun, like going through a bead box so the more photos the better.
