Does anyone have any experience with seller es_store?

Hey Wendy
I went over to your site. I couldn't find a search button, but I think the Chinese kasumi type pearls are called gold leaf ? Do you have some more photos? I think it is the photography that grabbed Adeline's eye. Your photos don't show the colors as well, though I can see them anyway.

BTW, I want to compliment you on how your site has grown. It is huge!!! And you have supplies for lowly beaders!
I love some of your silver designs- stuff with your hallmark? Hooray for that!!! Like those silver and pearl rings with the 4 prong settings. The settings have a handcrafted look to them. I want to see a photo with the hallmark!!!!

You must be the most complete site for pearls in Europe. I am impressed. I find your photos a bit small and too much shadows on the small ones, until you click through to the big one and they are not so easy for me to see small, but your range of finished items is amazing. I like the pearl charm necklaces!

I had trouble finding your website though, because when I put in Pearlescence, it returned pearlessence- a mother daughter outfit with a sucky pearl site. I bet you hate that.

So search for "Pearlescence essential pearls" if you want to check out Wendy's site and don't have this link handy: http://www.pearlescence.co.uk/

Sorry for so many posts in a row, but I am having fun looking at Wendy's stuff.

About the earrings below. Did you make the findings? I love those!!! They are sheer genius in their organic simplicity! Its like the pearl flows out of the tip of the earring. If you did not design this, I still hope you make it available as a finding. If you did, great going! I look forward to more of your design ideas.

Do you make your findings available without the pearls? I have a river pearl I think that ring setting would look good with. I am broke at the second, but just asking.

BTW, I hope other people buy the things I like right out from under me! I can't possibly afford all the beautiful things the talented artisans on this site make that I want!!!!

I'm blushing Caitlin.
The findings are bought in, but not listed as I have only a few.
Not sure which ring setting you mean...is it the one with the round pearls? That is available in silver in a few sizes (bought in)
The pearls I got in HK this time were pretty much all metallic - it's such a hard job!

I mean the setting in the photo I stole off your site. The 4 pronger? If you designed that, can you design a six pronger?

Ok. Well show me something that does have your hallmark on it. I want to be proud of you!
In all, you have a cool website with an astounding variety of options, now show me something you want to highlight! You almost never show us anything!

Seen these pearls also in limited supply from one big dealer in Hong Kong, the price then was lower than on the Fair in October, same with Souffle pearls, they were also half the price of what was offered before on earlier Fairs

Closure? I'll be listing on ebay for that price!

The closure pirce might depend on how you represent the pearls. Also remember fees for listing and for selling, plus fees to PayPal. But why not keep an eye on Augustus Collection kasumi-like for a while and see what they sell for?

You may also be handicapped by being based in the UK if the USA are the customers. On the other hand, it is a great advantage for the European market (all those problems with tax and duty across the continents).

I purchase on ebay occasionally and sell a few personal items there also. The multiple fees Karin mentions run close to 20%, unless one pays for a "store" which offers some discounts, but not huge ones, for peeps doing higher volume.

Last week I bid on and bought the paperback we've been discussing Pearl Cove on a .99 auction (only bidder) + 2.00 shipping. The seller paid $2.56 to mail it to me!

I have been buying and selling on ebay for years, thanks. I do know about how to do it. I am in fact too busy selling pearls to sell on ebay

There is no problem with tax and duty from the UK to America by the way for loose pearls - there may be a small duty levy but no tax is due. Shipping is not much more than within the UK. It is only with finished items being imported into any EU member state that tax as well as member state duty gets added (local purchase tax only on import to EU member state for loose pearls and items.) (oh, and 2% duty on separate gold and silver)

Ok, I'm not certain if this thread is about this particular Ebay seller,or not. I see this seller has a huge number of autions on Ebay: ES Designer Jewelry. Does anyone know this seller?
I am an adult, and I do know that if something sounds too good to be true,it usually is. However, having owned a business (non jewewlry related) for 15 years, I do know about wholesale prices.
So, I was just wondering if anyone has purchased pearls from this seller. I went looking for inexpensive, but real, pearls for crafts. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
