X-rays

Quick question: other than a lab is there any other way to x-ray pearls? In searching these forums I found that dental x-rays won't do. How about the x-ray machines at the airport? Could I just put them in the top of my handbag?

Hi Taylor,

Those fluoroscopes don't work for pearls either. You really need a specialty device that is fine tuned to pearls.

Hi Ricardo,

You will probably find one in the archaology department or at least somebody will know where they get their x-raying of specialty materials done. The physics department could also be a helpful source of information.

I am sorry for not having sent you the DVD yet, but I have not found the original yet to make a copy of.
