What type could be 3mm?

I am looking a t a triple strand for my wife but have not seen 3mm on the market before. Could you please tell me what they may be?

This strand looks to me to be freshwater pearls, dyed to get that intense color. They can be a very pretty look. Hopefully one of our senior experts will weigh in as well.

I agree, they look exactly like dyed cultured freshwater pearls from China. The colors are very typical.
