Hello! I'm new here and I hope I can get some help! :)
These pearls were a gift given to me a few years ago. I don't know much about them. She gave me information on them when she gave them to me but I don't remember (and I wasn't sure if she was exaggerating).

1. The pearls are gritty.

3. These pearls were a gift so I don't know where she got them.

4. There's a mark on the clasp that says "14k" as you can see in one of the pictures.

5. I think the pearls are 16mm.

You have a pretty strand of Chinese cultured freshwater pearls, and I think maybe you meant 6mm. (16m would be HUGE.)

The nice thing about these is that they are all nacre. They were cultured with a tissue implant, not a bead. These are very durable pearls and you can wear them every day if you like without wearing them out.

Small, irregular freshwater pearls are not expensive. I think it would be under $100 new with the 14k clasp (see Overstock.com) but I think they are pretty. :)
