What kind of pearls are these? Any idea of the value? Any info would be greatly appreciated! There is no clasp it’s just one long single strand. There is a grit when I rub them together. Thank you 8B2268C4-A792-4461-A5EC-037C28BD227D.jpg

Hi cara164, welcome to Pearl Guide!

Those are Chinese cultured freshwater pearls. The ones that are not white have been dyed. They are solid nacre-- no bead inside.

No, akoya pearls are cultivated in a saltwater oyster.
Freshwater pearls are cultivated in a freshwater mussel.

You're welcome!
You asked about value...they are relatively inexpensive pearls. But they are durable and can be fun to wear-- and they are real pearls.
