What kind of pearls are these? Are they valuable?

Does anyone know what kind of pearls I have. The only history I know of is that they were from Japan and originally purchased before WW2.

It looks like you've got natural-color, baroque akoya pearls. It's difficult to tell from the photo how the color and quality is, but pre-WW2 is going to have thick nacre, so they could be quite valuable.

These are baroque akoyas. They often have a natural, silver-blue coloration to them.
