What Graduation Jewelry Should I Get for My True Friend?

Hello Experts,

My friend studies abroad and he will be graduating next month. I want to meet him, and first, I want to surprise him face-to-face. Second, I want to thank him for everything—for his supportive friendship throughout the journey until now.

We’ve faced many circumstances, but we rose above them and moved on with great understanding. And finally, he is graduating too. So, I’m planning to give him some graduation jewelry gifts for his achievement and our friendship.

I don’t know what to give. I’ve searched many times but found nothing. I asked a friend what we should gift to a friend on graduation day. He said, “Even I don’t know, buddy, because I haven’t given anything yet.” Then he told me, Go and search forums and ask them. They will guide you, and it will be easier for you to make a decision.

Why don't you ask him what he'd like? He may just like an experience, like a place you two go together.

I agree, experiences are good gifts; it sounds like the "surprise" face to face may be the experience.
Diamonds are good. A special book. A watch, engraved on the back.

I would suggest a really nice pearl, on a good leather cord or perhaps a gold or silver chain as a tangible testament to his achievements and your friendship. Often done with a Tahitian pearl, but South Sea (white or gold), etc. ... maybe there is a pearl from an area of the world he's been or would like to visit, or that has meaning to you both?
