Sources of pearl oysters?

Can anyone tell me where one would obtain live pearl type oysters for aquaculture experimentation?
I am not particularly picky about the kind, freshwater, brackish or marine species (or all of the above).
I would like to obtain a good quantity of live healthy animals for water quality studies.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

In my country, relaying for scientific purposes is restricted to the statistical area. It's prohibited beyond.

In your country, it would contravene the National Invasive Species Act.

It is possible to have restrictions relaxed to relay spat across statistical areas, but international relaying would require registered shellfish inspection, full life cycle quarantine and contained artificial systems.
