SOC Pearls and Rubies!

Thank you Pattye,
Looking forward to seeing you La_Corsetiere ... I hope Clyde will be in tow!
Also looking forward to meeting others in person!

I wish I was on Facebook so I can see what all these vendors are sharing as far as new "gems". I have shopped with Rio Grande for years.

Sarah - just a question on the soldering of the gold filled...I've ordered two solders - one is a 2 inch piece of 10kt gold wire solder and the other is gold coloured silver solder... now I have not yet tried them as my 2mm gold filled wire just arrived. I have only ever used gold filled as bead wrapping wire or chain..never anything that had to be soldered. (even my metal work instructor had never soldered it as she uses only gold - we tried it once as an experiment and that is when we found it went a bit brown). So before I waste my solder....what solder are you using on the gold filled? :)

Those are gorgeous! I like the rose cut rubies. Kind of makes them look like they could have been made a hundred years ago. Of course they would have been made with abalone or something, and not Sea Of Cortez mabes. Nice!
