Hi~

My mother-in-law's mother found a natural pink freshwater pearl on the White River (I believe) in Indiana when she was 16 years old, or about 1911. It is not round, though there is a round face that is about 9 mm across. From there, it kind of tapers, sort of shaped like a solitaire diamond, if you can picture it.

She had it appraised many years later and removed it from the ring setting it was in into a pendant for my daughter, and at that time was told it was 'museum quality'.

I have a photo I could attach if someone is interested in giving me an idea of what this might be worth.

Thanks,

Maggie McCracken

well I think its going to be very hard for anyone to be able to place a value on your pearl from just a picture - but I love to have a look if you want to post the pic.
