My pearls

I have a new pair of tahitian studs. At the etsy seller OceanRhyme I found a pair of mismatched blue green and pastel pistachio tahitians, 8,7mm. I stumbled onto them and couldn't resist them really. I have used my mismatched tahitian studs from Oceanscove a lot since I purchased them and I have been wanting another pair for a while but never got around to it before. My other pair is silvery white and medium green. They are very nice together with my blue tahitian strand from Pearlescence, if I want a smaller pair of earrings than the blue 12,1mm ones.

The photo isn't all that great. I will take some other ones this weekend.

The light at home will not cooperate. Some of OceanRhymes photos of the mismatched pair.

The pair also goes nicely with the ombre tahitian rope from Cees, the tiny blue tahitian Collins strand from Pearlescence and the white south sea strand from Cees.

I love mismatched studs as well Bweaves, they go with everything. I really like that this pair is so different colorwise than my other pair.

Thank you amti and Gemandpearllover. I used them today with my ombre tahitian rope and the blue tahitian strand, they are accually better with the ombre rope than the blues, but then again most things goes well with the ombre. The ombre has almost all tahitian colors in it. I think that the rainbow strand would be great with the studs as well.

Thank you JillM, restringing used to make me tired as well, but now I find it relaxing. Unless kitten steals the tread...or the pearls... Good light is important. Not-husband got me a new lamp last year, before I strained my eyes and didn't even notice it. Just thought that I was tired.

I got some better photos of my new mismatched tahitian studs from OceanRhyme today. They have the most glorious green color, one blue green and the other pistachio.

My other mismatched tahitian pair, medium green and silver white from Oceanscove. I use these all the time. As you can see they are more cooltoned than the new green ones.

Both look great with my ombre tahitian rope from Cees.
_20200222_145444.jpg
I thought that they would look great together with my blue tahitian strand from Pearlescence as well, but now that I have seen them in good light, the blue strand looks better with the blue studs.

One day I will get a green tahitian strand. Preferebly a mixed green strand.

Since the pearl light has been cooperating today I thought that I would share some photos that I particularly like. First my rainbow strand from Pearlescence and my ombre tahitian rope from Cees. I just randomly put them down.

The colors and the luster is just amazing.

I created a rope using my keshistrand from Druzydesign and some baroque tahitians I bought from Cees last year (I bought a rope lenght of these tahitians). I knotted the strand with Beaders secret in grey.

I made it silvery to complement my silver tahitian strand from Cees.

I took the grey tahitians from my previously grey and white strand...
_20200229_202727.jpg
I really liked that strand as well but I wanted to make something with those keshis. I show you what I did with the rest of that strand tomorrow. At first I tried to combine the keshis with the peacock circled tahitians from Druzydesign that I have in one half of my sampler strand. Well those peacocks are a bit purply. They did not look good with the silvery keshis. The sampler strand is now intact once more. I had to restring it once more.

The cooltoned half.

At first I was thinking about using the grey pearls from my grey and golden strand. They tahitians are from the same rope as the ones I did use. The strand was to pretty to cut up. At least now.

My new keshirope complements many of my tahitian strands. Big multicolor tahitian strand from Pearlescence. The one with the red pearl (in some light).

I love that strand. I had to restring it last night, found a loose tread that had been hiding insider a pearl.
_20200301_083800.jpg
I also like it with my tahitian drop strand, with the most colorful (or pretty) pearls from a strand from Pearl Paradise and one from Wen Pearls.

And one more with the silver tahitian strand from Cees.

All those grey pearls in the keshirope must look great with the blue tahitians. Must see when it's not so dark anymore, like mid day. I have some other stuff to photograph as well.

The keshistrand indeed looks great in a lot of combinations. Rikitea strand from Cees.

Next, new black and white strand. Since I pilfered those grey tahitians from my grey and white strand yesterday I had to do something with those gorgeous baroque platinum white south sea pearls I bought from Pearlescence two years ago or so. Poor darkish tahitian strand from Wen Pearls wasn't intact for long. Yet again I cut it apart. First I made the black and white strand as before, with a bracelet. But then I redid it removing the biggest black tahitians. They were to big. It's a bit shorter now, maybe 24 inches. I measure it when I get home. The contrast is bigger now.

I think it turned out rather pretty. And now this is how many pearl bracelet I own=0. Maybe a project for Hongkong in september? If there is a fair. Maybe a rainbow bracelet. Or a gorgeous tahitian one. A golden south sea one. Or all of them...

Then I had some dark tahitian left, but not enough for a bracelet. I made a short strand that can be added to most of my strands if I want them a bit longer. It short enough to be hidden behind my neck. I think that it is about 5 or 6 inches long. I tried it a bit yesterday evening and it's pretty useful.

Beautiful new creations Charlotta. The colors show up very well in your recent photos. Great idea to make an extender with your extra Tahitians.

Thank you Gemandpearlover, it's been a dreary weather lately but not so dark as in december. It accually makes decent photo light. In the summer the light is often to warmtoned to make good photos. Sometimes in the summer I have to wait until late in the afternoon. That extender will be very useful I think. Sometimes I want my strands to be a little bit longer, and it's great to have the option for two lenght.

One might think that I would have worn the new keshirope by now but I wanted to wear the rainbow strand and my golden south sea ripple rope, both from Pearlescence for the first 3days of the week.
_20200304_134649.jpg
They do look great together. The quirky shapes of the ripple rope compliments most pearls. I have gotten a lot of use out of this strand. Look how pretty it is with the copper green tahitian earrings from Cees.

And the mismatched green tahitian studs from OceanRhyme.

Or even monocrome with my champagne south sea studs from Tahitipearldesigner.

But tomorrow I will use my new keshirope with my big tahitian strand from Pearlescence and my tahitian keshi huggies, keshis from Druzydesign and the huggies from Pearlescence.

I did have an idea about making an opal and gem enhancer for my rainbow strand a while ago. I bought some opals and some gemstones. Somehow I bought smaller opals than what I had in mind and bigger gemstones...but they are so pretty. I did manage to buy a 7,40 carat welo opal that I really like. It doesn't go with my project...

_20200314_161523.jpg
I did manage to buy almost a rainbow of these gems.
_20200314_161337.jpg
I probably have to use yellow gold with the biggest opal. Someday. I don't feel like going to a goldsmith right now. I try to avoid people when I don't work since I meet so many when I do work. This pink kunsite is my favorite gemstone. Might be pretty as a ring.
_20200314_161500.jpg
Since there is no yeast to buy at the moment when everyone is hoarding I am currently experimenting with homemade sour dough and trying to bake some levain bread. Hopefully it goes great and I have delicious bread tomorrow. Stay safe everyone. If anyone wants to know what the gems are, sizes and such, just ask and I tell you. To lazy to write it all.
