Multicoloured pearl necklace and earrings set

This is a 50 cm strand + pair of matching earrings with a 14 k gold clasp that I’ve had for more than 20 years. I always wondered if they are salt or fresh water pearls

Freshwater. See those nice peachy colors? Those are natural colors for freshwaters but not for salt water pearls.

In addition to the peachy colors, the potato shapes are typical of non-bead nucleated freshwater pearls from China. Your pearls are 100% pearl nacre. There is no shell bead at the center. Enjoy wearing them!!!
