A friend has lost an akoya pearl from her 3 pearl ring and needs it repaired. She thinks I might be able to repair it. Although I repair lots of pearl stuff, I am not sure about a ring. I am not sure I even have a pearl that will fit & match, but the bigger problem is getting the pearl to stay. I had a local jeweler, (He gets great reviews) who said he was good with gluing pearls, re-glue one of my rings, within 2 wearings, a pearl had popped off and I lost it. I am very careful of my hands & rarely have anything happen to my rings, so I am worried about fixing my friend's ring. Should she take a chance with her local jeweler in Hot Springs, Arkansas? Is there a way to find a jeweler who will do a good job of matching the pearl and gluing it? I think she would be up to sending it to someone who would do a good job. I thought of Pearl Paradise...but it is not their ring. What would people advise?

I had a pearl fall out of my Kamoka ring, and I got good advice from here, Kamoka, and PP to fix it myself. My whole post lists all the steps I did to fix it. The pearl's been solid ever since.

Yes! I saw that, but she doesn't have the pearl, so it isn't as easy as just gluing. But, I will try that with my ring!

I agree with everyone else, reach out to Pearl Paradise. It doesn't hurt to ask.
I had a pearl fall out of a ring, and it's an easy fix if you have the pearl.
