Help me identify this pearl necklace! I think it is vintage Tasaki

Hey all,

My grandma gave these to me. She got them in the 60’s. They were actually never worn as the necklace was broken very soon after she got it and she never restrung it. I did a newbie job at restringing it but I would be very keen for any information on the ID of these. From my research I believe they have the Tasaki mark on the clasp.

They are akoyas. Based on multiple posts on this forum that the Tasaki mark was a T inside a shell (similar to Mikimoto's mark) I'd say they are Tasaki.

How to string (or restring) your pearls on doubled Pattye's Serafil, Beaders Secret, and Power Pro​

This is not hard-- really! It is harder to describe it than to do it. Anyone can learn to string their own pearls!
If after reading through this, it sounds too daunting, I suggest making a mini-strand for practice first. Make one 12-15 pearls long just so you can practice how to knot the end 3 pearls on each side and attach the clasps; the middle pearls are easy to knot.

To just practice knotting (without bothering with clasps), make an overhand knot, string on a pearl (or...

Do you have any sense of what the value might be?

The greatest value is its sentimental value.

For replacement value-- for insurance purposes (but you don't need to insure these)-- you can look online to see what similar size / length / quality necklces sell for at retail.

For resale value (which is lower than replacement value), you can check eBay for sold necklaces similar to yours. Unfortunately pre-owned pearls do not tend to retain their value.
