I need help identifying the pearls in my necklace I recently got given to by my mother. It was my grandmothers necklace. I took images as recommended, on white paper, no flash (except last one).

I did tooth test and it is definitely gritty/rough. All the pearls have slight/not deep rings/circles around the centre of pearl. They are very reflective, when looking close up I can see my face in very good detail in pearl.
The pearls show up slightly more golden on camera and then show slightly more white when taken with flash, they are in between the colours taken without and with flash.

I originally thought clasp was just a generic one but after searching the internet for days I am unable to find the exact same one. Although similar design to a few generic ones, the diagonal lines in centre are thicker and more flat than ones I can see online. It’s 10K gold and has two other marks/stamps, which I have never seen before nor can I find it on any makers mark search website.
The one looks like GS or G5 or QS. The other Mabye like 222S or ZZZS or something similar.

I am from South Africa and my mom said my gran bought the necklace here in South Africa, She also passed away in 2012 so the necklace will be older than 13 years old (not sure when she bought it), if that helps at all.

Great photos!
You have a strand of cultured freshwater pearls from China. The eggy shapes and the rings are very typical.
The marks on the clasp are likely the mark of the manufacturer of the clasp, not the necklace.

Wear it and enjoy it!
