Hello,

Could somebody please tell me what kind of pearls these are. I love the lustre on them and their texture. They have this beautiful rainbow colours to boot. A hint of this pink glow. Quite iridescent. Wish I was a poet. :) Couldn't capture it on film. The icing on the cake is that I got them at a great price from my friend who sells them - a friend discount, so of course I had to get them. :)

Thank you.
Cheers,
ShashiRatna

Freshwater stick pearls. I think I first saw them about 20 years ago. I've seen them drilled short way through and long way through. They're pretty. Enjoy them.

I agree that they're FW stick pearls. Beautiful luster so wear them & enjoy. They're a fun pearl to wear.

Thank you y'all. Seems like they are also called Biwa pearls.

Cheers,
ShashiRatna

They are not Biwa pearls. Biwa pearls were usually small and oval and came from Lake Biwa in Japan. The long stick pearls are freshwater pearls from China.
