Can someone help me identify these 14k white gold clip on Pearl earrings? What kind of pearls are they? Do you know the maker mark? Thank you very much!

I don't know the maker mark, I haven't seen that one. But I am guessing these are 60-80's... possibly Japanese closer to the 80's and American closer to the 60's. They look Akoya and there weren't many freshwater pearls available then (maybe Mississippi...but they aren't those). The "rice krispy" pearls from China were new in the 70's and roundish (circle) freshwater technology was not yet perfected. Soooooo, not only do they look like round Akoyas, they are of a time frame that, if they are real (there are faux pearls with 14k findings...so rub them gently together to test grit.) they are Akoyas. Hope that helps.

Perfect! Some Akoyas are pretty smooth with only one way grit.. so keep that in mind...I rub back & forth to see if they have grit either way.
