Bead-nucleated freshwater pearls from Kong's Pearl

I have broken drills too, even treated bits, in tahitian pearls. It's possible that even a hard nacre nucleus is suffisant to curve the drill through softer black nacre around, when the tool meets the nucleus. But sometimes, little stones are used as nucleus of baroque pearls, as I have found several, and then it doesn't work right!

lilliefuzzysocks, that's the ring that got me interested in Kong's, too! I hadn't thought you could get pearls like that on Etsy. It's beautiful. My choices were obviously some of their lower end pearls, but I wanted to see how their product compared to their photos before spending too much. Now I have my eye on a few more things...
