I think we need better photos, against a plain white background like a paper towel.
There are a lot of factors to consider when deciding to repair a necklace. Are they real pearls? Does the necklace have meaning for you? Will you wear it often?
There are pearl stringing tutorials, so you may be able to repair it yourself.

The clasp just says "Japan" and appears to be base metal. I think someone combined imitation pearls with possibly freshwater pearls in that piece.
See the pearls in the areas I marked? They have a different shape and tone than the others. The rest seem to be imitation; the ones I marked may be freshwaters.

Try this test: First, wipe them clean with a damp soft cloth. Then hold the lighter colored pearls (which appear to be imitation) to your lips briefly. (Lips are very sensitive to temperature). Do the same with the darker pearls I marked in the photo. Are they the same temperature, or are the darker pearls cooler? If the same, they are all fake. If the darker ones feel cooler, I think they are cultured freshwater pearls.

If you like the (possible) freshwaters enough to restring them by themselves, I would just do those. See the Lowly Beaders Club section for my tutorial (and other's posts too.)
