    uodora?

From my experience: Saltwater pearls really pick up their surroundings... I have 1 strand of Tahitians that I really hate on me... I love them to look at...so I am enjoying them that way! I also have bought from Udora...because you really do get the ones that you pick out! I have very...

Please can someone help identify these pearls possibly help with an estimate value.

I have NOT seen that "pac-man" mark before. There are on-line shopping networks: sometimes jewelry is made for a designer by several companies, but that carry marks that seem to be unrelated to the designer that sells the jewelry or sometimes it is double marked. I had to sell jewelry from a...

Do post your own photos!!! I find that Akoyas (or any saltwater pearl) has less grit than freshwater. Some Faux have about the same grit (from dirt) and people mistake the 2. Often the saltwater has 1 way grit & dirty faux seems to have a slight 2 way... but I also look at drill holes &...

    Need help identifying

As Pearl Dreams said... EBay solds will give you the best idea... But around Christmas...jewelry is sometimes inflated or on sale....selling it would also vary at this time. But for giving as a gift (again check eBay solds so you have an idea of value) it might be perfect and completely...

Please identify this pearls and the possible maker.

The value is it your chance to do testing & knowing they are real!!! You could even restring them adding or removing the middle element...another good value!

Can these pearls maker be identified please

My suggestion...get a restringing kit from Pattye. In a small town... it is going to be better & safer to learn restring. On one of you broken strands...take off 1 pearl at a time & practice restringing. See how you like the process & the final look. You will get better! I find it good...

Restringing Mother-In-Laws, Best clasps for elderly...

Thank you Pattye!!! I owe most of that to you and this forum!!! Your String....(and gimp)....So easy to work with, looks great & it is going to be hard for her to break it! (She broke the dark ones!). Knowing about pearl reamers...the end holes were way too small to knot...made them the...

Restringing Mother-In-Laws, Best clasps for elderly...

They are done! The knots on the akoyas are slightly lose because MIL is very worried that I might make them too tight (Her last restring was too tight) & they won't hang right. I think I matched in the 3" of pearls very well...I can hardly tell...she won't be able too! I did the Japan style...

Is Mikimoto Brand New Worth it?

Since this is a Dec. 2025 post...the tariffs and Japan's economy vs USA economy plus precious metals (esp. Gold) all plays into the price of New Mikimotos... Waiting on that purchase might be the smart $ move...but with the pearl trend being so hot...that might make knowledgeable chosen...

Need help to identify this vintage bracelet and beautiful clasp.

I just saw this..... that one pearl looks like is had sandpaper rubbed on it...Probably what happened was the bracelet somehow rubbed on something rough and "sanded" off the nacre. Matching pearls is hard..(even in person with a stash of vintage pearls!)... as .so I would still leave in when...

    Pearl identification help

Mely... One thing that works really well, in person is to look at drill holes of pearls. I have had dirty faux pearls be gritty. So I always look at drill holes. In fact, I put one in my restringing pile without looking at drill holes, just checked grit.... but when I pulled it out to...

Love Them Even If Nothing Special…….

It also helps to know that Mexico & India regularly make silver clasps & Bella Findings has Box Clasp bases that top decorations can be soldered on. So really the skies the limit for artists to make box clasps, like yours. I saw a recent custom box clasp with a carved coral piece prong set on...

    Help on these tiny pearls!

Please give my your best guess...Akoya or Faux??? I think they are akoyas, but they only have grit on my teeth, not when I rub them together. I have this same problem on tiny akoyas near the clasp in those graduated 13 oz vintage akoyas. (So it isn't helping!) They have the look of akoyas...

Love Them Even If Nothing Special…….

Pretty...I would restring!. The 830 is often European. My guess would be 1950's-1970's. That type of clasp sort of echoed the Japanese pearl clasp & the more American flower with pearl in the middle... It is also possible that it was Mexico 830 silver...only because Mexico was doing similar...
