Beautiful cat, beautiful pearls. I had 2 cats with similar coloring, years ago. Both had spicy personalities.

    Griffin silk thread

Pattye has a method whereby she runs one thickness of Serafil through the necklace and knots the doubled thread, pearl by pearl, around that. You could do that, begininng the running thread after the end pearls. If you would prefer to widen the holes on the last few pearls, I have been using...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Thank you, @BWeaves! I don't usually wear two (or three) strands together, but these do seem to fit each other nicely. Also, while I have long felt that this "silver rose" Freshadama necklace is a bit too warm a white for me, the exotics are also a warm color range, so they seem to go together...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

I've taken to wearing my 2007 Freshadamas (7-8mm) and 2008 Exotics (8-9mm) together. They are both 18" and have the same gold ball clasp, so are easy to connect end to end. Yesterday I wore them as one long rope. Today I've arranged them as a two-strand.

    Ebay pearl pendants

I'm not sure about the first pearl. It could be a Tahitian but I've also had dyed freshwaters that looked like that. The second pearl looks like an Edison.

What type of pearls are these and where can I sell them?

The authenticity guarantee is optional under $500, and when it's there, it's added at checkout; that is what I see on current and completed listings.

What type of pearls are these and where can I sell them?

My understanding is that the seller is only obliged to offer authentication service for jewelry if the price is $500 or more.

can we tell if these are real Keshi Pearl?

Not keshi and not south sea. Bead nucleated Chinese freshwater pearls.

    Real tahitian or dyed?

    Tahitian, I'd say.

    New dilemma

Immediate impression, confirmed on closer inspection: dyed freshwater pearls. The appearance of the blemishes, the general appearance of the luster and surface, and a bit of oil-slick color all point to fwp.

    Please identify both!

Some terminology may help you. Real pearls are either cultured (farmed pearls) or natural (wild pearls, rare and very expensive, created in nature by mollusks without any human intervention.) The pearl market has been a cultured pearl market for the past century. Imitation (fake) pearls are...

    Please identify both!

Yours are cultured akoya pearls. (Cultured pearls are real pearls.) The ones on the right...I'm inclined to think they are cultured Chinese freshwater pearls, based on shapes. Would that be a deal breaker, if they were not Japanese akoyas?
