The value is it your chance to do testing & knowing they are real!!! You could even restring them adding or removing the middle element...another good value!

My suggestion...get a restringing kit from Pattye. In a small town... it is going to be better & safer to learn restring. On one of you broken strands...take off 1 pearl at a time & practice restringing. See how you like the process & the final look. You will get better! I find it good...

They are done! The knots on the akoyas are slightly lose because MIL is very worried that I might make them too tight (Her last restring was too tight) & they won't hang right. I think I matched in the 3" of pearls very well...I can hardly tell...she won't be able too! I did the Japan style...

Please give my your best guess...Akoya or Faux??? I think they are akoyas, but they only have grit on my teeth, not when I rub them together. I have this same problem on tiny akoyas near the clasp in those graduated 13 oz vintage akoyas. (So it isn't helping!) They have the look of akoyas...

Pretty...I would restring!. The 830 is often European. My guess would be 1950's-1970's. That type of clasp sort of echoed the Japanese pearl clasp & the more American flower with pearl in the middle... It is also possible that it was Mexico 830 silver...only because Mexico was doing similar...
