    LaTausca?

I believe the DIY tarnish remover recipe calls for washing soda, which is chemically different from baking soda. Washing soda and baking soda are distinct compounds with different chemical properties. Many people use the aluminum foil/warm water/washing soda to quickly clean large quantities of...

    Pearl life

Some vehicles come with 20 year coverage, usually dealer specific. I am reminded of some Tahitian pearls worn by surfers that were sent to Jeremy for repair. They'd been worn so much that the nacre was gone, and the bead was showing. If I recall correctly.

What size pearls for a pearl bracelet?

My only thought is larger pearls will take up more space so you will need to adjust the length to compensate, but you aren't lookin g at 9mm pearl bracelets ... I digress. Yes, get the best luster.

    From Demure to Punk

I clicked on the Emma Brooke earrings, and the pearls are inside the crystal. They are shaker earrings. Cool. Nice to see Imperial Pearl get a mention, you don't hear much about them lately. The woman in the above photo is wearing A LOT of jewelry. I realize it's an editorial, but nothing...

    What are they...50's - 60's

I like baroque Akoyas. If that's weird, maybe we can start a club. I have a baroque Tahitian that broke, so it happens. It's on a bracelet so I just left it.

Is this a 12 strand pre pearl culture era necklace?

This is interesting. I recently acquired some of my grandmother's old fashion jewelry -- someone was really interested in buying it, which I thought was odd. No gold, no precious stones. Now I will take another look! When Mae West passed away and her jewelry was auctioned, people were surprised...

Is this a 12 strand pre pearl culture era necklace?

I don't believe coin pearls are natural. They are a type of cultured freshwater pearl -- a flat disk-shaped nucleus is inserted into the mollusk. I suppose an intermediate is up to the pearl cultivator. Round nucleus vs flat disk? You can find all sorts of cultivated shapes, crosses, squares, etc.

Help, where to go to get a pearl ring repaired?

I agree with everyone else, reach out to Pearl Paradise. It doesn't hurt to ask. I had a pearl fall out of a ring, and it's an easy fix if you have the pearl.

Mikimoto A vs. PP Hanadama vs. PP AAA

I highly recommend a virtual appointment with Pearl Paradise. Look at pearl strands side by side without commitment. If you see something that speaks to you, PP can help with matching items. You can pick up studs, drops, bracelet, etc. for future gifts.

Well, 585 is 14K gold. That's a cool enhancer! I suggest that the enhancer was a separate purchase and added later.
