OOOOOOO, nice. I wonder what the back and the clasp looks like. I'm going to guess the pearls attach to bars and there's a single strand or chain that can be adjusted for length in the back.
It reminds me of those illustrations of various necklace lengths.
I also wondered who had worn this and where, so I did an online search. All I could find was 'Important Necklace 16 Stringe, comprised of 2191 fine saltwater pearls and 4 softwater pearls. Sold for €93,100 EUR via Tajan (July 2025).' I would have thought it'd have gone for more. It was sold anonymously.
