Pearl grading job options?

Hi there!
I'm very new to the pearl side of the jewellery industry, and wondered if anyone has any insights on how to go about, and where to go about, looking for pearl grading job opportunities. I've recently completed my gemmology diploma program and am headed to Australia in the coming months. I'm not sure if I would have the best luck in Sydney, or if I should go up to Darwin. I'm also not sure if I should be looking for a job with a pearl farm, gemmology lab, jeweller, or otherwise.
Any insight or advice anyone has would be much appreciated

I am not a trade member here, but my assumption is that you should be looking at "all of the above." You are evidently already in the jewelry trade so those familiar surroundings would offer an opportunity to create a résumé for pearls. For credentials going forward, an internship (or position if qualified) at a lab might make sense.
