Looking for help estimating value of Tahitians!

I have a couple of tahitians that I am look for help with to estimate their value as I would like to sell them. I've been recommended to use ebay which I have previously used for selling other items but never for any jewelry. Any and all help would be much appreciated on this top. Please see below for specs and pictures:

1) Gold Necklace - 14K gold 17" necklace with 9 pearls each approx 9mm

2) Sterling Silver 925 Necklace - 19" necklace with 11 pearls each approx 4mm

3) 14K Gold ring - 11mm Pearl

4) 14K white gold pendant 15mm

5) 14K yellow gold pendant 13.5mm

The first two necklaces don't look like Tahitians, more like dyed freshwaters. The ring is nice though...can't say how much they'd go for though :T

The first two are not tahitian due to shape, color and general appearance. The second may even be irradiated baroque akoyas as they seem to have that characteristic purpley color -- though usually it is the round ones that are color-treated in this way, so more likely, #2 is freshwater.

The ring and the 4th picture definitely appear to be genuine. Pendant sales are disappointing, in general. You may not get what you want for it, though you are at an advantage due to the soaring gold prices right now.

I am reasonably certain about all of the above.

I should add that I don't know about the last photo. There is something I don't like about the flatness of color/lustre...but that could be just the photo.

Thanks, that's helpful. What do you think the value is of the first two, I'm assuming much less than if they were tahitian.

It is a bit difficult to see the pearls, if they are Tahitians, the Lariat style strand (no 1) consists of circled Tahitians, the valute would not be that much, I think. What size are the pearls? If under 8 mm, they probably are Freshwater pearls.

The second one has silvery pearls, could be dyed freshwater but also real Tahitians, again the size is important.

I like the ring as well as the pendants, value will depend on what a buyer is willing to pay, however. In the case of the last three items you probably would need something to guarantee that the pearls are real Tahitians and not Freshwater pearls, so if you can get some better photos, it would be easier for our experts to tell.

Thanks, the sizes for everything are stated above in the original post. How would you suggest that I take better pictures? More shots of each piece from different angles? Let me know if the sizes above are helpful...

Sorry, I read the post and still did miss the sizes, BTW I have never seen a dime for real so it is hard for me to compare, as we over here have only "?re" or Cents (Euro Cents that is).

Anyway what I meant is that you try to take more "close Ups" with your macro setting on the camera, put the pearls on a paper towel, that should bring out the colours more clearly and describe them to us in words, for example: the pearl on the ring has a bodycolour that is silver or grey with overtones in pistachio, peacock or whatever you think... that might make it easier.

What colour are the pendants would you say?

If the strand # 2 has such tiny pearls as 4 mm I don?t think they are Tahitians at all.

A 2 euro cent coin is 18.75 mm, just slightly larger than a US dime, which is 17.99 mm. Hope that helps.
