In my last post, I received many wonderful responses on what to do with my pearl. Some were stunning, but unfortunately, wayyyy out of my budget! Until I make a final decision on my setting, I am going to get an inexpensive cage so that I can start wearing my pearl sooner. I've narrowed down my decision to these options. Which one is your favorite?

Etienne Perret Tendril Pendant (I would have him design my tendril to hand from a chain)

Hmmmm, the first design is more casual, and the third design more formal. I would choose one of these two, depending on lifestyle and how much wear I would like to get out of it.

Not keen on the second design for the following reasons: the colour combination does not pop at me (I appreciate colour preferences are very personal) and I believe the Peridot is too big for the pearl.

Good luck with your project.

DK :)

As much as I like peridot, I think that particular stone overwhelms the lovely conch pearl.

I love the tendril, and I love the pearl design.

Keeping in mind that this should not be worn in sunlight much, as conch pearls fade. From that standpoint, I'm leaning towards the more formal pearl design.

Is Etienne's Tendril with a mabe' pearl? He is an amazing person and should be fun to work with. :)

my vote it for 1 if casual and with you being in the Bahamas I'm guessing that would get the most use.

Either way please post a shot when completed.

LOL, i'm the only one who voted for pairing with peridot. I actually like the contrast with the green and salmon colour and the shape of the pendant is definitely very pretty that way. However, i do agree that the peridot will overwhelm the conch just because it's so bright. I wonder if you can find a different stone with same shape and size that complements the colour of the conch pearl.
