  • Question about souffle pearls

    Hi!
Are they all as beautiful as they look in the photos or do you have to sift through a lot of duds to find the good ones? Just curious. I've never seen one in person but they all look so colorful. I didn't see ( here ) any that looked mediocre.
    P.S.
I had to re register as CaseyR. Because my old username Casey.R wouldn't work. Most likely because I haven't posted in so long.

Most are definitely duds. To see how bad they can actually get, take a look at this - http://www.jckonline.com/2010/03/09/...e-dirty-secret

I watch a lot of Time Team, the UK archaeology series, and a lot of souffles look like the lumps of iron smelting clinker which the archaeologists are always very pleased to find. In pearls, nope. Seen and been hard salesed by some big lumps of dull. flat bleah -with still surprising prices!
I do quite like the look of the subtle colours and more south sea satin lustre which is occasionally available
