Hello,
My mom wants me to help her restring and knot on 18K clasps these three pearls strands she bought at a jewelry center in Shenzhen. She had them finished with a s925 clasp in China because she didn’t want to buy the clasps there. She has a trusted jeweler here that she buys her gold clasps from.
These pearls feel gritty and the white ones are sized from 11-14/15 and the gold is around 10-11. These were sold to her as saltwater SSP but I’m curious if they actually are.
If there’s any tips on how to spot the difference between freshwater and saltwater please let me know! I’ve been searching google but still cannot tell, so I thought to ask the experts here.
