Hello all! I appreciate you all reading this post. I am coming up on my 30th wedding anniversary (the 'pearl' anniversary), and considering my wife loves everything orange, naturally I was drawn to the Melo Melo pearl. Since there are not a lot of Melo Melo pearls locally, I am looking to purchase it on the internet, I am only looking to spend a limited amount and was curious as to what your opinions of the sellers on Etsy and Ebay that are located in the Myanmar/Thailand/Indonesian area. There are a few listings I am looking at (I am steering towards baroque styles) and one even has a certification from the 'Central Gemological Laboratory of Indonesia', but I'm not sure if that's worth anything.
Does anyone has any expreience or knowledge of any of these vendors?
Wondering if a lot of polished up Tridacna shell is commonplace or if it is relatively rare?
