Where to buy good circled rice and rice krispy pearls?

Yes, thanks and I did find some. I don’t know who is a good vendor, though. I was hoping someone could recommend. I guess I can go with the reviews otherwise.

Where to buy good circled rice and rice krispy pearls?

Any recommendations on where to buy drilled (length wise) circled rice pearls and rice krispy pearls, about 8-9 mm long? I am looking for white ones, good quality, to make some bracelets with. Thanks!

Question regarding the metals in findings

I am learning beading and stringing. The metals in some findings concerns me. Can anyone tell me the more dangerous metals to look out for? Which is worse regarding toxicity - nickel or zinc? When they say silver alloy, what does that mean? If something says silver plated, do I have to be...

    Circled pearl pendants

Thanks PD. I need overtones and circles, also, though. The strand you posted before has been haunting my thoughts all day, btw.

    Circled pearl pendants

I'm sure, Ennui. Grey is actually one of my favorite colors. However, when I say battleship grey, I mean flat, no luster. Think of battleships - no luster at all. ;)

    Circled pearl pendants

Thank you so much, PD. Those are just breathtaking!! Perhaps the best way to avoid the flat grey or black color I fear is to simply avoid low quality pearls? (I know very little about Tahitans and am still learning.)

    Circled pearl pendants

So, I received the faux white pearl on a leather cord necklace that I had bought from Ebay to try out the style. It works! I think how the color of a Tahitian would blend into the black leather is just beautiful. I also have some questions about Tahitians, in general, if you would. I'm...

    Circled pearl pendants

Very nice, Sobelle! That looks great on him! I am getting a bit stuck, though, with my project. I, umm, have never seen a Tahitian pearl in person. Sometimes I absolutely love (some) of them in photos, but sometimes (some) of them look like flat battleship grey balls. Where can I go to see...

    Circled pearl pendants

Thank you all so very much! I ordered, from Ebay, a super inexpensive white pearl on a leather cord so I can try out the style first. Also, thank you so very much for the suggestions of vendors to look into. Bluebyrd

    Circled pearl pendants

Thanks again, PD. I looked on Etsy and did not see quite the color/overtones I'm looking for which is lighter, and with a little more color the regular grey, silver, green, black. Do the leather cords look best on younger people or is any age? I'm a bit hesitant as I'm, alas, middle aged.

    Circled pearl pendants

Do you know of any vendors who have circled pearl pendants? Does that tend to be random and just the buyer purchases whatever they see that is nice at the moment, circles or not? Thanks.

Cap pendant setting v. head pin setting

Thanks PD! I agree the half-drilled cap is more attractive. I am looking for my first Tahitian pendant, right now. I have fears of finally finding the right one, getting it, and having it fall off.

Cap pendant setting v. head pin setting

Are pendant setting where a head pin goes through the whole pearl, so it is secured on both ends, much more secure than a cap pendant setting? If so, why are head pin settings not used more? Thanks.

What size collapsible needles and thread for . . .

Thank you so much, PD! What size thread for the 4x6 rice and the 6 mm rounds? Is there any certain brand people prefer?

What size collapsible needles and thread for . . .

What size collapsible needle and thread for 4x6 mm rice pearls? Those will also have 3 mms round silver beads with them. Then for 6 mms round pearls? Also, if stringing cream colored pearls, do you get cream colored thread? Thanks.
