I'd use two part epoxy. Don't use too much! You don't want it oozing over to the surface of the pearl.

Then probably South Sea, given that the setting is 18K gold with diamonds. Probably not freshwater.

Yes, with pearls as with all beaded jewelry, restringing is the big variable. Anything goes.

Yes, they have been slow in getting them out! I think the delay must have been on the publisher's end, but now they are finally moving.
